Prezi is a software program that helps you create super quick and easy presentations, online.  the company is based in Hungary, which is pretty cool since these types of applications tend to come from English speaking countries – however, their team appears to be quite international.  In the interest of testing out this fun little application, I recently created a little presentation about a trip to Peru and Bolivia that I’m taking with an old high school friend, soon.

You can check that out here:

All in all, I find Prezi great for a quick and dirty presentation. Sort of a more formal mindmap – it’s very easy to link ideas to each other. And it’s easy to throw in some quick images. A great tool for a quick meeting. The fact that the presentations are all shareable online makes it a great tool for loose discussions over phone lines. However, for formal presentations, I’m personally going to stick to PowerPoint or Keynote – Prezi doesn’t really feel formal enough to me for more formal occasions. For a quick meeting, though, definitely going to become a big user!
